On May 21st Area Z returns in collaboration with Brussels-based label Mutant Modality for a Thursday night concert at Arkaoda, bringing together 3 live performances and 2 DJ sets navigating the outer edges of industrial-adjacent aesthetics. From fractured techno and rhythmic noise to electronic body music and all kind of confrontational, doom-tinged electronics. A rare concert night of live electronics bringing together singular voices of contemporary dark underground music - not to be missed for any reason!

SWARM INTELLIGENCE(LIVE)
Over fifteen years, Dublin-born, Berlin-based producer Swarm Intelligence has occupied the volatile space between rhythmic noise and functional techno, channelling speculative futures and technological unease into a sound that defies easy classification. Rooted in artificial intelligence concepts from his engineering background, the project delivers raw, high-tempo, distortion-laden music shaped for squat parties and illegal raves rather than polished club nights.

OTTOMAN GRÜW (LIVE w/ special guest)
OTTOMAN GRÜW has developed a singular style of frenetic, hallucinatory compositions — combining the mechanical structures of techno, electro and EBM with ambient textures, industrial grit and post-punk urgency. With performances that can be intense, approaching madness with bare hands yet always channeling the rage of existence into his most singular means of expression, OTTOMAN GRÜW has expanded from Tresor (Berlin) and Khidi (Tbilisi) to North and South America.

MINA LORD (LIVE)
Mina Lord creates doom-infused electronic music, crafting a maze of distorted rhythms, haunting atmospheres and twisted structures. With roots in drumming and contemporary music, she forges heavy, roaring drums with a transcendental edge, distilling a fractured fusion of industrial, power electronics and broken rhythmic noise into uncompromising sonic darkness.

INCENDIE (DJ)
Incendie is the moniker of Berlin-based producer, DJ and Area Z manager Arthur Bdt. Through his productions, DJ sets and collaborative projects, he conveys harsh, cinematic and introspective atmospheres drawing from techno, post-industrial, post-metal and experimental darkness, with releases spanning Under My Feet, Aufnahme+Wiedergabe, X-IMG and HANDS

MAZE DK (DJ)
Maze DK is a Polish dj and producer who lives and creates music in Berlin. Her powerful and relentless sound lifts the industrial sounds of broken machinery with an acid sprinkle on top. In her sets, she takes the listeners through dark and energetic dance rituals plunging them into a raving state of consciousness. Her productions blend between experimental, industrial, techno, EBM with strong dark and cinematic other-worldly atmospheres
